San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 12, 2011

Pet Camp, the premier San Francisco overnight pet boarding facility and daycare center, has just been named the 2011 Best of the Bay winner for “Best Kept Kitty Club” by the San Francisco Bay Guardian.

More than 15,000 San Francisco Bay Guardian readers took part in this year’s Best of the Bay Readers Poll, which recognizes community favorites in more than 200 categories ranging from Best Burrito to Best Strip Club. This is the Bay Guardian’s 37th annual celebration of the best people, places, and things in the Bay Area.

“We’d like to thank the San Francisco Bay Guardian for recognizing our work with cats,” said Virginia Donohue of Pet Camp in San Francisco. “San Francisco’s such a unique and vibrant city; our cats deserve special treatment too.”

Pet Camp is nestled away among the mansions and boutiques of Presidio Heights. Its facilities include an indoor solarium garden where city cats can channel their inner hunter, huge garden windows, aquariums (cats are big fans of fish tanks) and plenty of perches. Pet Camp even has twirling club lights for cats to chase.

Cat Safari is the unique San Francisco overnight and day care facility for feline campers—the only one of its kind in the country. The vegetation is in a jungle-like environment cats can enjoy and explore while under the loving supervision of Pet Camp employees. Cat Safari offers individualized playtime sessions.

For more information about Pet Camp contact them by phone at (415) 992-7173, visit their website at petcamp.com, or become a fan by clicking on the “like” button on the Pet Camp Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/PetCamp. Pet Camp Cat Safari is located at t 3233 Sacramento St.; and the Main Campground is located at 525 Phelps Street in San Francisco.

About Pet Camp

Since opening their doors 14 years ago, Pet Camp has become the premier provider of lodging and cat and dog daycare in San Francisco. (Pet Camp can be found by searching for “San Francisco dog kennel” on Google, but they think of themselves as more of a “canine lodge.”) They treat dogs and cats to the greatest collection of activities and experience that can be found in the City.

Their canine outdoor play area is the City’s largest outdoor off-leash play area for dogs, and they operate the nation’s only “outdoor” safari experience for feline guests of the San Francisco cat boarding. Pet Camp is the country’s first green certified pet care facility.
